Francis Greenburger is the founder, chairman, chief executive officer and guiding force behind Time Equities, Inc. Founded in 1966, Time Equities, Inc. (TEI) has been in the real estate investment, development and asset & property management business for more than 50 years. TEI currently holds in its own portfolio approximately 32.4 million square feet of residential, industrial, office and retail property – including more than 4,000 multi-family apartment units. In addition, TEI is in various stages of development and pre-development of constructing approximately 1.4 million square feet of various property types which includes at least 1,447 residential units. With properties in 30 states, five Canadian provinces, Germany, the Netherlands, and Anguilla, the TEI portfolio benefits from a diversity of property types, sizes and markets. There are concentrations in the Northeast, Southwest, Midwest and West Coast, and new markets are always being evaluated.

Mr. Greenburger is well known throughout the real estate industry for his ability to anticipate real estate trends and changing market conditions. TEI was a market leader in the cooperative conversion business in New York City, having converted over 100 buildings including over 10,000 units.  More recently, TEI took the lead in the conversion of obsolete office buildings into residential apartments in New York’s Wall Street area.  Building on our expertise in new residential construction and re-positioning,   TEI is currently working on or has recently completed several development projects in Downtown Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island, Jersey City, NJ, Seattle, Washington, Chicago, Illinois and Toronto, Canada. Taking advantage of under-recognized opportunities has been the hallmark of the TEI strategy and a major component of its success.

Mr. Greenburger also has a passion for the arts. He is the founder and principal benefactor of Omi International Arts Center, over 25 year old not-for-profit arts colony and educational center which hosts residency programs for visual artists, writers, dancers, musicians, and architects from all over the world;   as well as a renowned sculpture park which is open to the public on a 300-acre property in Ghent, New York just south of Albany. Mr. Greenburger himself is an art collector (his office is a virtual gallery) and he owns over 500 contemporary paintings and sculptures. He was awarded the insignia of Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government because of his commitment to the arts and his founding of the Omi International Arts Center.

In addition, Mr. Greenburger is the Chairman of S.J. Greenburger Associates, Inc., a literary agency founded by his father almost 90 years ago, representing many world renowned and bestselling authors including Dan Brown, Brad Thor, Daniel Amen, Patrick Rothfuss, Robin Preiss Glasser, and Rosemary Wells.

Most recently, Mr. Greenburger founded the Greenburger Center for Social and Criminal Justice, which advocates for reforms to the criminal justice system, in 2014. In the capacity of the Founder and President of the organization, Mr. Greenburger serves as President of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Executive Committee and is an Ex. Officio member of all other board committees. Mr. Greenburger guides the Center’s policy and advocacy efforts to ensure that the agency’s actions are in line with its mission, through weekly meetings with the Center’s Executive Director. He also reviews annual budgets, audits and financial statements and approves all expenditures over $1000.

Mr. Greenburger is also a very active board member of several not-for-profit organizations: Alliance for Downtown New York, Baruch Real Estate Advisory Board for the Department of Real Estate, Lavigny Writer’s Residency, Lincoln Center – Real Estate and Construction Council, Little Red Schoolhouse/Elizabeth Irwin High School Board of Trustees, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, MASS MoCA (contemporary art museum), Michael Wolk Heart Foundation, NYU Real Estate Institute Advisory Board, Omi International Arts Center, Inc., Sports and Arts In Schools Foundation, and the Zicklin School of Business Dean’s Council at Baruch College.

Mr. Greenburger graduated from Baruch College in 1974 with a degree in Public Administration. In addition to real estate and the arts, Mr. Greenburger is an avid tennis player. He resides in Manhattan with his wife Isabelle Autones and children Morgan, Noah, Julia and Claire.

Jeffrey Ravetz is the President of Girona Ventures, LLC, which is based in Manhattan. Girona Ventures repurposes and redevelops commercial properties. Since 1996, Jeffrey has been a principal in various ventures redeveloping over 5,000,000 of commercial properties. Girona Ventures is currently converting two office buildings totaling 200,000sf in Hartford, Connecticut into 258 apartments and 12,000sf of retail space. He has redeveloped properties in Connecticut, Illinois, Texas, New York, Oklahoma, California, Nebraska and Arizona. Prior to being in the real estate business, Jeffrey was a small business consultant at Deloitte. He received his B.S. in Economics and M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business, and is both a New York licensed Certified Public Accountant and Real Estate Broker.    

Jeffrey is currently on the Board of Trustees of Congregation Rodeph.  He is a member of RESA (The Real Estate Services Alliance) and is currently teaching a course in the NYU Real Estate program with his RESA co-members. He is a judge in the NYU New Ventures Competition and mentors startups. Jeffrey has also been an active alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and has established the Lighthouse Real Estate Ventures Endowed Scholarship which is awarded to a Jewish immigrant in need of financial aid.

Ross Sandler, with Skip Hartman and Roger Alcaly, was a founding board member of New York Edge. He served as chair of the board from 2012 to 2015.

Sandler graduated from Dartmouth College and NYU Law School where he was a Root Tilden Scholar and a member of the law review. Sandler served as a federal prosecutor in Manhattan where he was chief of the environmental enforcement unit. His office’s successful prosecution of Hudson River polluters predated passage of the 1972 Clean Water Act. Later, in the mid-1970s, as senior staff attorney at the Natural Resources Defense Council, he co-headed the urban environmental unit, winning a pivotal Clean Air Act case.

In 1981, Mayor Edward I. Koch appointed Sandler special advisor where he helped revitalize the city’s mass transit system. In 1986, Mayor Koch appointed Sandler as Commissioner of the Department of Transportation where he led a program of maintenance and repair still in place today. Sandler has also served as a member of the New York City’s Procurement Policy Board and Taxi & Limousine Commission.

Sandler was a partner of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue in its New York office before becoming a professor of law at New York Law School. He currently directs New York Law School’s Center for New York City Law which publishes CityLaw, CityLand [www.citylandnyc.org], CityRegs, and the CityAdmin electronic library of City administrative decisions [http://www.nyls.edu/cityadmin/].

Sandler is the co-author Democracy by Decree: What Happens When Courts Run Government (Yale 2003), and Jumpstart: Torts: Reading and Understanding Tort Cases (Wolters Kluwer 2012).

Roger Alcaly has been in the investment business for more than 30 years and was one of the founding partners of Mount Lucas Management, LP. He also served in the Carter Administration and at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and taught Economics at Columbia University for 10 years.

Roger was a co-founder of New York Edge, the largest provider of after school programs to New York City children. He also serves, among others, on the Boards of the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library, and the Social Science Research Council.

Roger received a BA from Amherst College and a PhD in Economics from Princeton University. He is the author of The New Economy, which was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2003, and has written periodically for the New York Review of Books.

Craig Balsam is an entertainment industry entrepreneur who co-founded indie music company Razor & Tie and children’s music platform Kidz Bop.  Currently, he is a co-founder of music company RT Industries, and he produces Broadway theater and films. Craig has a BA from Emory University, a JD from New York University School of Law, and is a proud resident of NYC.

Ms. Chaves has more than 25 years of global experience in corporate philanthropy and social impact marketing. She currently leads the B2B marketing strategy for Mastercard’s Strategic Growth, focused on advancing partnerships with governments and other institutions to address, environmental, societal and economic issues, and drive financial inclusion and inclusive growth on a global level.

Over the past 10 years at Mastercard, she has invested her expertise in advancing the company’s position as a leader in commercially sustainable social impact (CSSI).  She helped establish the Center for Inclusive Growth (CFIG) in 2014 while leading the companies’ philanthropic efforts globally. She returned in 2019, as the head of their strategic engagement team, to expand the brand. Ms. Chaves was also responsible for leading Priceless Causes, Mastercard’s global cause marketing strategy, facilitating the ability for consumers to give to meaningful causes through Mastercard’s technology and network.

Prior to joining Mastercard, Ms. Chaves held senior positions at Citigroup and the Citigroup Foundation. Ms. Chaves holds a bachelor’s degree from Baruch College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Manhattanville College and also serves on the board of Cause Strategy Partners.

Ken is an accomplished finance and investment manager in the real estate industry. He currently serves as Tidal’s President, responsible for management and strategy of the real estate development and investment business of Tidal Real Estate Partners LP.

Ken has an MSc. in Social Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science which he obtained after graduating from Tulane University with a BA in Political Economy and History. Ken lives in Brooklyn with his wife and child.

Dan is an experienced thought leader and content specialist on remodeling, real estate, and products for the home. In March 2017, he became Home Expert & Smart Home Strategist for HomeAdvisor, the IAC-owned operator of the largest home services marketplace across the globe. His responsibilities include creating digital content on remodeling, design, and smart home technology, as well as interfacing with media, industry, and consumers in a spokesperson role.

Before joining HomeAdvisor, he was a Multimedia Content Specialist at Consumer Reports, where he worked from 2007-2017, leading deep-dive investigations, collaborating on video series, connecting with audiences through various social media channels, and more.

He also worked as an editor at Martha Stewart, Home, and This Old House. Each position gave him special insights into his subject area, as well as into the rapid transformation of the media landscape. With twenty years in the business, his expertise in the home improvement space is matched by his talent for top-notch content creation and omnichannel branding and marketing.

Along with his wife and two children, Dan lives in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn. The couple plays an active role in the local community, in particular through their children’s enrollment at the Urban Assembly Academy of Arts & Letters. Dan is a lifelong competitive athlete and avid soccer player. He is also a volunteer coach with the Brooklyn chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization.

Niko Elmaleh, Executive Vice President of World-Wide Holdings, is an active venture capital investor in clean tech, and is engaged in World Wide Group’s marketing and asset management. An environmentalist and patron of the arts, Elmaleh is involved with numerous charitable organizations, including the Natural Resources Defense Council, Robin Hood, The Actors Fund For Everyone, Concert Artists Guild, the Photography Committee of the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Natural History, Rocky Mountain Institute, League of Conservation Voters, People For the American Way, and Media Matters, among others.

Niesha Foster is Vice President, Product Access, Global Health & Patient Access where her team is focused on addressing the patient affordability challenge.  In this role she is accountable for US Patient Assistance Programs, administered through Pfizer RxPathways, signature international product donation programs, such at the International Trachoma Initiative, and co-leading Pfizer’s Multicultural Center of Excellence which advances health equity in diverse communities.

During her 17+ year Pfizer career, Niesha has led strategic and operational programs across commercial and platform functions.  She was the finance lead for Pfizer’s HIV franchise and COPD program, responsible for developing the short and long-range forecasts for the brands.  Niesha obtained compliance experience while creating and implementing Pfizer’s policies for interactions with healthcare professionals, the success of which aided in fulfilling the company’s requirements under its 2015 Corporate Integrity Agreement.  Niesha is an operations expert having served as Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President of Policy as well as to the President of Worldwide Research & Development. In addition, she was Corporate Affairs Lead focused on shaping the operating & access environment for the Rare Disease and Inflammation & Immunology business groups. In Rare Disease she created unique community partnerships, including with the National Newspapers Publishers Association, to amplify the needs of the sickle cell disease community.

Her 7-year professional experience prior to Pfizer, includes forecasting the National Football League’s (NFL) Annual Salary Cap and partnering with the NFL Players Association to ensure teams’ compliance with key elements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.  She was also an auditor at Price Waterhouse responsible for financial statement accuracy for clients ranging from The Girl Scouts USA to Viacom.

Niesha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Syracuse University and an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.

Anita Gupta is the Vice President of Chatam Management, a privately held commercial and real estate investment firm started in 1983 started by her father, Ram Gupta.  Chatam operates in all phases of real estate business, including management, acquisitions, and finances.  The Gupta Family real estate portfolio consists of properties all over the United States, including strip-centers, office and mixed-use/apartment buildings throughout the tri-state area.

Anita is involved in all facets of Chatam Management’s business, including asset management, building operations, new acquisitions, and legal review.  Shortly after joining Chatam Management, she spearheaded a new construction project that helped revitalize a busy commercial hub in the Bronx, which earned her the Visionary Award from the Westchester Square Business Improvement District.

For over ten years Anita has been an active board member of the Bronx-Manhattan Association of Realtors and sits on the Executive Board of Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP), a real estate trade association representing over 3,000 apartment-building owners in the five boroughs.

Ms. Gupta graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Economics and holds a law degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she served as the president of the Women’s Bar Association.

Pascale Hainline, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, has been a private wealth manager at Merrill Lynch since 2009 within their global private client group. She previously worked with Societe Generale in their corporate and investment banking division for 26 years. During her years with Societe Generale, Pascale held various senior positions including Managing Director/Marketing manager of the Media and Communications Group; Managing Director/Head of Global Banking Services for the Americas and Managing Director/Senior Portfolio Manager of the Global Credit Portfolio Management Group. She left Societe Generale in 2008, and in the one year hiatus before working at Merrill Lynch, Pascale was producer, narrator, and lead character in a film titled “A Reserve,” which is a documentary about the Pendjari National Park of Benin in Africa.

Pascale was born and raised in French Guinea, and spent most of her childhood in Ivory Coast. Her family moved to France when she was 12, and she received her Master’s degree in Economics at the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1978. As part of a scholarship award, she continued her graduate studies in Economics at the University of Chicago in 1979. An avid tennis player and opera buff, Pascale lives in New York City with her husband Brian. They have three children, Clotilde, Arthur and Juliette and two granddaughters. In addition to tennis, opera, and her professional life, Pascale serves on the USTA Investment Committee and as a board member for several community organizations.

For 10 years until his retirement in 2019, Peter Lieb served as executive vice president and general counsel at Aon, a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions.  Over the course of his time at Aon, Mr. Lieb led Aon’s Global Law Department and managed legal, regulatory, compliance and government relations matters for Aon and its business units globally.

Prior to joining Aon in July 2009, Mr. Lieb was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at NCR Corporation and before that, he served as the senior vice president and general counsel of Symbol Technologies. Earlier in his career, Lieb was a partner at the Jones Day law firm, a federal prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and a law clerk to Warren E. Burger, Chief Justice of the United States.

Mr. Lieb graduated magna cum laude from Yale College, where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He holds a law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was managing editor of the Michigan Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.

Jim O’Neill is a founder of New York Edge. He served as Executive Director, President and CEO from 1992-2016, and as Director of Government Relations from 2016-February, 2018.  In 2018, he returned to his roots at New York Junior Tennis & Learning, an organization that helped to found New York Edge as Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation, as the Executive Director of Government and External Relations.  From 1983 through 1993, Jim was the Executive Director of NYJTL and also served as the interim CEO from 2009-2010.

Jim’s years at NYJTL included creating the STP, (Schoolyard Tennis Program) the first NYJTL afterschool tennis program, the Middle School Varsity Leagues, the Elementary School Tournament, The Advanced Training Program, and The Mayor’s Cup All/Scholastic Championships. In his current role he works to identify and secure new City, State, and Federal funding for NYJTL’s Summer and Afterschool programs.

Jim was part of a Task Force that wrote the original USTA Schools Tennis Curriculum.  He has served on many USTA National Committees and was a founder of the USTA’s Multi-Cultural Committee.  He created and chaired the USTA Advocacy Task Force and has received many awards from the USTA, including the USTA Community Service Award in 1994.  In 1998, Jim received the Tennis Educational Merit Award from the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport, Rhode Island.

Rashid Keith Dilworth Silvera – a former history teacher with an Ed.M from The Harvard Graduate School of Education as well as a M.T.S. degree from The Harvard Divinity School. He was a member of the Scarsdale High School History Department for thirty-six years and has worked as a fashion model for over three decades and has appeared on the cover of GQ, Essence and Code magazines. Mr. Silvera was also the first African American male to model for a Polo Ralph Lauren advertisement campaign.

Mr. Silvera has been profiled in Marci Alboher’s One Person/Multiple Careers: A New Model for Work/Life Success. His story has been also been shared by Black Enterprise and The HistoryMakers.

Dale is a principal in Stream Realty’s Industrial Development Services group, were he is responsible for execution of industrial projects in East Coast and Chicago markets.  Prior to joining Stream Dale spent 13 years at J. P. Morgan Asset Management Global Real Assets where his responsibilities included investments in industrial, office and residential assets throughout the US.  Prior to joining J. P. Morgan, Dale was a commercial real estate appraiser with Samuel D. Koon & Associates of Columbus, Ohio.  Dale holds a B.S. in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and a M.S. in Real Estate Finance from the New York University.  He also holds the Certified Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Urban Land Institute, and NAIOP.

Rob Tuchman started, helped build, and eventually sold two sports and entertainment agencies. Goviva, the most recent business, was acquired by Creative Artists Agency in 2015.

Prior to being acquired by CAA, Goviva was a leader in the experiential space. Clients included Fortune 500 companies including American Express, SAP, Capital One, Salesforce and Google. In 2015, the company was #175 on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing companies in America.

His first business, Tuchman Sports Enterprises (TSE) was acquired by the private equity firm Pfingsten Partners in 2006. Through a subsequent acquisition, it became part of the NFL’s On Location business, which today is owned by William Morris Endeavor. TSE was an innovator in experiential as one of the first companies to curate exclusive experiences around major sporting and entertainment events. Clients included iconic brands such as Hershey, Coca Cola, Budweiser, and Microsoft. Prior to being sold in 2006, TSE made #396 on the Inc. 500.

Currently, Tuchman  hosts a podcast produced by Entrepreneur Media called “How Success Happens.” The podcast features in depth conversations with many of today’s biggest and brightest entrepreneurs.

Tuchman has authored two books, 100 Sporting Events You Must See Live (Benbella Books) and Young Guns, The Fearless Entrepreneur’s Guide to Chasing Your Dreams and Breaking Out on Your Own (AMACOM Publishing).

He serves on the boards of the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter and New York Edge.

Marissa Beharry-Vanzie is an administrator in the New York City Public Schools.  She works in District 75, which provides highly specialized instructional support for students with significant challenges focused; her work is focused on students with autism.

Greg Weiss is a retired law partner of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he was a member of the Corporate Department specializing in corporate finance. His clients included major money center commercial banks and investment banks, principally in connection with leveraged buyout financings. Mr. Weiss holds a B.A. from Yale University and received his LLB cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
