The program tracks and supports students in their development academically and emotionally as they prepare for college and careers. Individual Educational Plans assist participants with preparation for gaining college admission, scholarships, financial aid, and any personal or educational concerns impeding HS completion.  

SASF offers a comprehensive approach to instruction and implements a Project Based Learning (PBL) approach for students to develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. We offer subject-based tutoring, counseling, health and wellness support, SAT and Regents test prep, STEAM activities, sports leagues and tournaments, nutrition services, visual and performing arts, leadership development, and trips to colleges and cultural institutions.

About SASF’s Champions Clubs:

The Champions Club, Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation’s flagship program, supports thousands of youth in over one hundred school sites throughout the five boroughs. All SASF Champions Clubs offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including instruction in core academic subjects, as well as STEAM (an integrated approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), Visual & Performing Arts, and Sports & Wellness.  A focus on leadership supports social-emotional learning (SEL), designed to close the opportunity gap for our students. Understanding the different developmental needs of youth provides each Champions Clubs with the opportunity to be a positive change-maker for the school community. Champions Clubs are specifically designed to support students at each level of their education Elementary, Middle or High School.
